Terry
O’Maley was raised in Richmond, Indiana, where
his mother taught school and his father was a local businessman.
Terry graduated from Richmond High School in 1973 and from Indiana
University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. Terry
began Post-Graduate work in Economics at Indiana before transferring
to the Law School, where he graduated Cum Laude in 1980. Terry
returned to Richmond to practice law. He served four years as
a Wayne County Public Defender and six years as a Deputy Prosecutor
in the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. Terry managed his
own law office for six years before joining the firm of Harlan,
Schussler, O’Maley, Boston and Bever for four years. He
then served as Wayne County Prosecutor for eight years. Terry
joined the current firm as counsel on January 1, 1999. Terry has
practiced law with concentrations in criminal law, family law,
probate and estate planning, personal injury, work related drivers
license, and litigation, including over seventy jury trials. His
professional affiliations have included Wayne County, Indiana
and American Bar Associations, National Association of District
Attorneys, Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council, and Indiana
Public Defender’s Council. Terry has a strong interest in
Sports, Recreation and Youth Development. He serves on the Board
of Directors at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wayne County. He was
one of the original members of local Drug Free Schools Programs
and served eight years on the Wayne County Child Protection Team.
